What qualities do you need to work in film production?

We asked Sonia Marcos, a production professional with more than a decade of experience on shoots, and for her one quality stands out above all: knowing how to mediate.

A lot happens on set at the same time. Unexpected issues come up, there are situations in different departments and problems that very often end up landing directly on Production.

Sonia stresses the importance of staying calm, listening and being able to find solutions without adding more tension to the shoot.

Production also holds a particularly important position in the crew: it connects with the Director and the Executive Producer, but it is also in constant contact with every department.

You have to put out a lot of fires. The difference is knowing how to do it without becoming one yourself.
